Bosso dedicates victory over Italy to critics, shifts attention to Brazil – U20 World Cup

Flying Eagles head coach, Ladan Bosso has dedicated his team’s victory against Italy to critics.

Bosso’s boys zoomed into the Round of 16 at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup following a 2-0 win against Gil Azzurrini on Wednesday night.

The Flying Eagles were expected to be overrun by the Italians, who defeated pre-tournament favourites Brazil 3-2 in their first game.

Instead, it was the Flying Eagles who outplayed the Europeans.

“I dedicate this victory to those who criticise me,” Bosso told a press conference after the game.

“Their criticisms have certainly kept me on my toes.”

The Nigerian boys will now face Brazil in their last group game on Saturday.

The gaffer believes the five-time champions are beatable.

“We will play a normal game against Brazil and I think they are beatable,” declared Bosso.
