Top real estate broker, Aguda Olufemi Michael, has offered young people valuable advice on how to empower themselves. The founder and managing broker of Block 22 Realty LLC, a real estate brokerage firm in Chicago, offered his counsel via his Instagram page, @femiaguda.
According to him, it is important to write down goals and objectives to be achieved. “ A man without clearly written down goals will be the slave of other people’s opinions, and visions. Goals give you direction,” Femi Aguda, as he is better known, posted.
Continuing, he enumerated some ways an individual can empower themselves, saying: “Many people’s problem is their ignorance. Read informative, educative and life-transforming books, I promise you your life will be transformed and you will experience positive change. Secondly, you need a mentor. Note that the greatest footballer of all time has a coach. No great athlete that we know today succeeds by themselves. They all have a coach who coached them to greatness. The same applies in business and in life. Thirdly, dreams don’t work unless you do. The way you know a driver is that he drives, a speaker speaks, a businessman do business. So don’t just dream, work, roll up your sleeves and soil your hands, to make it happen.”
Femi Aguda, who started his entrepreneurial exploits in Nigeria by co-founding Cokodeal.com, further urged young people to “solve bigger problems.”
His words: “You don’t keep doing what you were doing before and expect different results. The level of results, wealth and impact you desire will be a result of the level of problems you solve. Increase the quality or quantity of problems you solve and automatically you increase your results. Don’t be afraid to take baby steps daily towards achieving your goals. Remember you were once a baby. Think Big, start small and grow massive.”
