August 1 Protest: Police fire teargas at protesters in Abuja

One protester has been reportedly injured as police fired tear gas on August 1 hardship protesters in Eagle Square, Abuja.

According to a video posted by Galaxy TV, protesters were dispersed from converging at the venue.

It was learnt that the protesters are marching towards the Three-Arm Zone of the Federal Capital Territory.

Reports also stated that protesters earlier gathered in MKO Abiola Stadium.

The same situation was reported in Port Harcourt, Rivers, Lagos, Sokoto and other states across Nigeria.
