APGA Enugu guber candidate pledges to prioritise pensioners’ welfare

Frank Nweke Jr, Enugu State All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) governorship candidate, has restated his commitment to the welfare of retirees and pensioners in the state.

Nweke said this when he interacted with residents of Ugwu Aaron, a hilltop settlement located off Aria Road, G.R.A, Enugu.

“Am passionate about the promise to ensure that all pensioners receive their payments when due and will be paid arrears.

“I understand that some pensioners are being owed up to three years in arrears and some for much longer.

“It is my solemn promise that first of all, all payments will be made when due and all arrears will be accounted and paid for,” he said.

The APGA governorship candidate said that his administration would carry out a pension reform to ensuring efficiency.

He added that his administration would partner with pension operators to provide other incentives such as health benefits to ensure that workers live comfortably in their retirement.
