APC reacts to court order on Rivers congresses, says exercise will hold as planned

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that the Rivers State Elective Congresses scheduled for Saturday, November 16, 2024, will proceed as planned.

This was contained in a statement by Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, National Organizing Secretary of the party on Friday, November 15.

Part of the statement read: “The ex-parte order in Suit No: PHC/2699/CS/2024 between Peter Ohochukwu & Anor vs. His Excellency, Abdullahi Ganduje & 5 Ors, which initially restrained the APC from conducting the congress, has been vacated.

“The Rivers State High Court has ruled that there is no order preventing the APC from organizing the Rivers State Elective Congress.

“In light of this development, the APC will proceed with the Congress, reaffirming its commitment to due process and the rule of law.”
