Ally McCoist reveals manager to be sacked today

Scotland and Rangers legend Ally McCoist has said that Tottenham’s caretaker boss Cristian Stellini should be sacked today.

This is following Spurs’ embarrassing 6-1 defeat to Newcastle on Sunday.

Stellini took responsibility and apologised to the club’s supporters for the dismal performance at St James’ Park.

“I always want to give managers the opportunity, but something has to give,” McCoist told talkSPORT.

When asked if Stellini should go today, he said: “Yeah probably. If you can’t get the man you want and you have to get another caretaker then I actually think Harry [Redknapp] would be a good idea.

“He knows the club and knows the player. They just need a level of consistency.”
