AFCON 2025: Nigeria loses 2-1 to Rwanda

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have lost to the Wasps of Rwanda in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers match.

At the match which took place on Monday, November 18, 2024, had the Nigerian team suffer a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Wasps of Rwanda.

Samuel Chukwueze, Super Eagles’ winger put the country ahead of the 59th minute of the final AFCON qualifier match.

However, Rwanda’s Wasps quickly turned the game around with goals in the 72nd and 75th minutes.

Irrespective of today’s loss, Nigeria topped their AFCON qualifying group with three wins, two draws, and one defeat.
