6 Pakistani army personnel killed in helicopter crash


Pakistan Army helicopter that went missing in Balochistan has crashed.  6 members of the country’s military were killed.  Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the information on Tuesday (August 2).

According to media wing of Pakistan Army, Corps Commander Quetta Lieutenant General Sarfaraz Ali is among the dead.  Besides, there were officers and soldiers.

According to ISPR, the helicopter was on its way as part of a relief operation to flood victims in Balochistan’s Las Bela.  Was going to Karachi from Quetta.  Later, the helicopter lost contact with the control room.  It disappeared minutes before sunset yesterday.  The wreckage of the helicopter was found in the Musa Goth area of ​​the Winder region of Las Bela.  Preliminary investigations have suggested that the accident occurred due to ‘bad weather’.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif tweeted that the nation is deeply saddened by this incident.

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan and PTI Chairman have expressed grief over the incident.
