17 Terrorists Reportedly Drown in attempt to cross Nigeria-Niger Border

Seventeen (17) Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists have reportedly drowned after they attempted to cross a river between the villages of Kafetoa and Bulabulin Gaidam, between the Nigeria and Niger Republic border.

Reputable counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama, reports that the terrorists were said to be heading for Tam village in the Niger Republic when they met their end.

According to Zagazola, Intelligence sources told him that the insurgents “were swept away by strong currents as they attempted the crossing.”

He added, “The terrorists were displaced from some of their bases, which include BULABULIN GEIDAM, CHETTIMARI, and DIFFAN in the NIGERIA-NIGER borders.”

Zagazola, reputed for receiving credible security news on the military offensive in the region, was the first person who broke the news of the killing of notorious bandit commander Kachallah Buzu, neutralised by Nigerian Troops.
