Zamfara police presents N7.1m cheque to families of deceased officers

Zamfara State Police Commissioner, Mohammed Bunu, on behalf of the Acting Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun has presented cheques of N7.1m (seven million, one hundred thousand Naira) to 14 next of kins of officers who died in active service.

The cheques were part of the Inspector General of Police, IGP, family welfare insurance schemes of the Force.

Bunu, while presenting the cheques, appreciated the Ag IGP for his kind gesture and also appealed to the families of the deceased officers to make good use of the money.

Two of the beneficiaries, Miss Mosunmola Apata and Mr Ayuba Bassi in their remarks on behalf of the other beneficiaries, thanked the Acting IGP and the State Police Command for the support, and assured the command of judicious use of the money.
