Wike appoints Musa Idris as SSA on procurement

‎The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has appointed Alhaji Onsachi Musa Idris as Senior Special Assistant on Procurement.

‎Idris retired from the civil service on April 24, 2026

‎This is contained in a statement signed by G. Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, and dated April 24, 2026.

‎Before his retirement, he served as Director of Procurement at the Federal Capital Territory Administration, a position he assumed in July 2021.

‎The statement released on Friday described Idris as “a seasoned public servant with over 30 years of experience in administration, finance, and public sector procurement management.”

‎

‎Idris previously rose to the position of Director of Common Services (Procurement) in August 2019. He was later redeployed to the Department of Procurement in July 2021 as Director of FCT Procurement.

‎

‎In that capacity, he handled key responsibilities, including supervising procurement processes and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

‎

‎Over the years, he developed extensive experience across major administrative and procurement functions, contributing to improved efficiency and service delivery within the system.

‎

‎The statement added that the appointment takes immediate effect.
