United States President Donald Trump has revealed that his country will become so rich as a result of tariffs.
According to Trump, the US will make hundreds of billions of dollars from tariffs in the near future.
The tariffs, Trump explained, will bring companies and factories back in the United States and create more jobs.
When asked by FOX Business’ Maria Bartiromo at the end of his time with reporters during a gaggle on Air Force One on Sunday evening if he was worried about a recession.
Trump said: “Of course you hesitate. All I know is…we’re going to take in hundreds of billions of dollars in tariffs, and we are going to become so rich you are not going to know where to spend all that money.
“I’m telling you; you just watch. We are going to have jobs. We are going to have open factories. It’s going to be great.”
Trump had recently imposed tariffs on the United States’ major trade partners like Canada, Mexico and China.
