Police kill 21 bandits, rescue 206 abducted persons in Kaduna

Twenty-one (21) bandits were killed, while 206 abducted persons were rescued by the police in Kaduna State this year, 2022, the Commissioner of Police, Yekini Ayoku has revealed.

He added that about 1,446 rustled livestock in different parts of the State were recovered from bandits.

The Kaduna State Commissioner of police made the disclosure at the end of the year news briefing in the State, stressing that 49 rifles/guns were recovered from criminals this year.

He explained, “780 suspects were arrested in connection with various forms of crimes within the period under review.”

Yekini Ayoku stated of the number apprehended in connection with different forms of crimes, 116 suspects were convicted.

The Commissioner explained that 1,359 rounds of live ammunition were recovered and 17 bandits’ operational motorcycles were recovered.

He also stated that 15 bags of dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp were recovered from the suspects this year.
