PDP Chieftain In Kogi State Resigns Membership

The former Caretaker Chairman of Okene local government area under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Mohammed .M. Omuya has resigned his membership from the party.

This was contained in a letter of resignation he personally signed and addressed to the chairman of PDP Orietesu Ward, Okene local government area of Kogi state, copies which was made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Tuesday.

According to the letter , his resignation from the opposition party in Kogi state was borne out of his firm belief that his ambition to serve his immediate and the larger society can not be realized on the platform PDP.

The letter reads in parts : “I tendered my resignation because, I am no more of the firm belief that my ambition to serve my immediate and larger society can be best realized on the PDP platform.

“I am therefore changing my allegiance and getting on with other endeavours in life, having contributed my quotas to the growth of the party and having garnered a wide range of mixed experiences as a foundation member.

“Warm regards to my erstwhile co-members with whom I shared fruitful services and tribulations”

The resignation of Omuya was coming barely one week after the appointment of Senator Philip Aduda as the caretaker chairman of the PDP in Kogi state, after the expiration of the tenure of Sam Ohuotu led State working committee of the party.
