Not good enough – Odegaard criticises Arsenal stars after latest defeat

Arsenal captain, Martin Odegaard, has criticized himself and his teammates following their Premier League 3-1 defeat to Manchester City on Wednesday night.

Odegaard said it was frustrating that Arsenal players were ‘not good enough’ during the encounter against Man City at the Emirates Stadium.

Three goals from Kevin de Bruyne, Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland gave Pep Guardiola’s side all three points against the Gunners.

Bukayo Saka did score a goal for Mikel Arteta’s side against the Premier League champions.

“It was a good game between two good teams, an unbelievable atmosphere. It was nice to play in, but it was, of course, a frustrating result,” Odegaard told Arsenal Player.

“I think we did a lot of good things, but in front of the goal, we weren’t good enough. That is frustrating, but at the same time, we did a lot of good things, so we’ve to take those.”

He added: “In general, I thought the game we played was pretty okay, but in front of goal it was not good enough.”
