Dr Baba Mohammed, proponent of the National Commission for the Coordination and Control of the Proliferation of Small Arms and Light Weapons (NATCOM) Bill, has felicitated with Nigerians on the occasion of the nation’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
In his goodwill message, the Madaki of Ankpa wished all Nigerians a joyous moment, emphasising the feat as a time for reflection, gratitude, and peaceful coexistence
Dr Mohammed prayed for unlimited joy and sustained happiness for the citizens while expressing hope that peace will prevail across the nation.
He urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in prayers for the country and for the successful operations of NATCOM, stressing that the commission’s full implementation would help address security challenges.
The NATCOM bill proponent also highlighted the potential benefits of the commission, including employment for the youth and the strengthening of the national economy.
Dr. Mohammed specially congratulates President Bola Tinubu and his vice, Kashim Shetimma, for moving Nigeria to its pride of place.
He also rejoiced with senate president Godswill Akpabio, speaker Tajudeen Abbas, and all members of the National Assembly.
The rest are the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Senator George Akume, the chief of staff to the president Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the minister of defense and all the service chiefs and indeed the entire Nigerians.
