Miss Nigeria International appeals to FG for more investment in entertainment sector

Miss Nigeria International, Favour Maduka, on Monday appealed to the Federal Government to invest more in the entertainment industry due its revenue-generating potential for the country.

The 24-year-old beauty queen spoke in Lagos that entertainment is a promising sector that can boost the nation’s economy.

Report that Maduka represented FCT in the 2022 Miss Nigeria International Pageant, organised by Brendance and Crusaders Ltd.

“I seriously project that the new government should really invest more in the entertainment industry, so far so good, the industry has projected Nigeria in high places.

“These entertainers have so much creative arms that they have sold our image positively with so much honour and recognitions.

“They have also provided adequate services and support for brands, so it can further grow and elevate higher so as to keep making our country stand out internationally,” she said.

According to the graduate of Business Administration, during her reign, she has shared knowledge and been a good influence to others.

“I also shared my thoughts, opinions and understanding about the pageant industry. I influenced good morals worthy of emulation for my fellow youths to uphold.

“It also influenced my confidence to face the challenges of growth as a youth; had enough confidence to take chances.

“I was opportune to walk like a queen in front of so many classes of audience, educating on how we must be true to ourselves by keeping up self discipline and good morals,” she said.

Speaking on few challenges she experienced, Maduka said a number of stakeholders rejected her proposals for projects and offers.

“My challenges were enormous, offers and proposals were turned down but I did not give up because my official journey as beauty queen itself is challenging.

“It may be over, but activities which my national titles brought forth are still ongoing, and by God’s Grace, it won’t end any time soon,” she said.

Talking about achievements, the beauty queen said she had lots of opportunities on the platform of queenship.

“Factors and brand (foundation) of mine were created, an organisation where I will use not only to spread love, but to build friendship among ourselves as a nation.

“I have always been advocating love generally because I believe that’s the best affection that humanity should live on which I advocate in my foundation, “Favourflare”.

“My foundation is built on love, charity and educational promotions and to keep making the world a better place for children and adults, also, to keep encouraging everyone on natural awareness,” she said.

According to reports, the 2023 edition of Miss Nigeria International, which has selected 14 finalists is scheduled for November, in Lagos.
