‎The commissioner said a joint security meeting had resolved that individuals, institutions or organisations wishing to organise durbar or horse-riding activities in public places must submit written requests to the police command at least 72 hours before the event.

‎

‎He explained that the notice would allow the police and other security agencies to conduct security assessments and make adequate arrangements for the safety of participants and members of the public.

‎

‎Bakori urged residents, traditional institutions and event organisers to comply with the directive and cooperate with security agencies.

‎

‎He assured residents that the command and other security agencies remained committed to protecting lives and property and maintaining peace across the state.
