Senator Eteng Williams, representing Cross River Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, is set to roll out a major empowerment scheme and free medical outreach for constituents in Ikom and Yakurr Local Government Areas.
The two day programme, scheduled for Friday, October 2 and Saturday, October 3, 2026, is designed to provide immediate healthcare support while creating opportunities for constituents to strengthen their livelihoods.
The first leg will hold on Friday at Hotel 45 Hall, Ikom, where constituents will benefit from the empowerment programme and free medical services.
The second leg will take place on Saturday in Yakurr Local Government Area. The empowerment programme will be held at Yakurr Council Hall, Ugep, while the medical outreach will take place at the Primary Health Centre, Mkpani.
The initiative is expected to provide beneficiaries with access to essential healthcare services as well as practical support aimed at promoting self reliance and improving economic resilience.
The medical outreach is also expected to offer relief to residents who may otherwise face challenges accessing basic healthcare, while the empowerment component will provide resources designed to support individuals and families in improving their economic wellbeing.
The programme is expected to attract constituents from various communities across Ikom and Yakurr and further strengthen engagement between Senator Williams and the people he represents.
The initiative is part of efforts by the senator to respond to the health and economic needs of his constituents through direct constituency interventions.
