President Bola Tinubu has called for greater efficiency in strategies and results in the ongoing fight against insecurity in parts of Nigeria.
The President made the demand when he met with heads of intelligence agencies and service chiefs at the State House on Tuesday in Abuja.
It was reported earlier that the President held a closed-door meeting with the service chiefs.
In an interview after the meeting, the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, described the session as highly engaging.
“The President gave new direction and directives intended to achieve better results in the fight against all forms of insecurity,” he said.
General Oluyede, however, assured Nigerians that the security agencies are coordinating more effectively to ensure the public can celebrate the yuletide in peace.
