CBN Denies asking Nigerians to Submit Applications for Recruitment Exercise

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has denied asking Ningerians to submit applications for the recruitment exercise.

The CBN made the denial on Wednesday evening, August 14, 2024, in a statement issued via its official handles.

The statement reads; โ€œThe attention of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has been drawn to misleading information suggesting that the Bank is currently conducting a recruitment exercise, following a job vacancy posted on the Bankโ€™s website on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.

โ€œWe wish to state unequivocally that the CBN is not presently conducting a general recruitment exercise.

โ€œFor the avoidance of doubt, the job vacancy posted on the Baankโ€™s website is for the position of Director-General of the West African Monetary Agency (WAMA), which is open to eligible candidates from member countries of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

โ€œMembers of the general public, particularly applicants, are also advised to always visit our website (www.cbn.gov.ng) for accurate information on the Bankโ€™s activities.โ€
