Bankole, Obasogie fight for NPFL Golden Glove award

Remo Stars goalkeeper, Kayode Bankole and his Bendel Insurance rival, Amos Obasogie will continue their battle for the Golden Glove award.

Bankole joined Obasogie on eight clean sheets after guiding Remo Stars to a goalless draw against Gombe United on matchday 12 at the Remo Stadium.

The pair have been in fantastic form all season for their respective clubs with the Sky Blues remaining unbeaten in the second stanza while Insurance are also yet to taste defeat in the season.

Remo Stars go into the final day of the season against Kwara United tussling for a spot in the NPFL Super Six playoff.

Bankole will have the playoff qualification firmly on his mind when they take to the pitch on Sunday.

The pair are above third-placed Akwa United’s Jean Efala and Emmanuel Daniel of Lobi Stars, who are on seven clean sheets.
