AS Roma manager, Jose Mourinho, has sent a message to his former player Gonzalo Higuain after the Argentine announced his retirement from football on Monday.
Higuain will retire at the end of the ongoing MLS season.
The Inter Miami striker has played for some of the top clubs in Europe like Real Madrid, Juventus, AC Milan, Napoli, and Chelsea.
Higuain had a successful spell under Mourinho during their time together at Real Madrid.
The 34-year-old has won three La Liga titles, one of them coming under Mourinho in the 2011-2012 season.
After Higuain announced his retirement from football, Mourinho took to his Instagram story to share a picture with the attacker and wrote:
“Are you tired of scoring goals? enjoy the rest of your life!”
