A former Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole has won the senatorial ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to return to the Senate to represent Edo North Senatorial District.
Oshiomhole was returned unopposed in the party primaries which held across Edo North district.
Returning Officer for the Edo North senatorial election, Mr. Kassim Otono, declared Oshiomhole the winner after he secured 24,284 votes by affirmation.
Oshiomhole, in a chat with journalists, thanked the people for renewing his mandate for a second term.
Even when you have other people contesting in other parts of the country and having dispute on who to contest.
“And for me to have nobody challenging me in Edo North, for me that is an honour and I can’t thank the people of Edo North.”
