Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky has said his government appreciates the new defense aid package it got from United States President, Joe Biden amid the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia.
Zelensky said that the new defense assistance from Biden is bringing Ukraine closer to victory against Russia.
He disclosed this in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Monday night.
“Thank you @POTUS for your leadership, robust support of Ukraine and understanding that Russia is a threat to the entire civilized world,” Zelensky tweeted.
“Together we are defending values of freedom common to both Ukraine & US. New defense assistance package is bringing us closer to victory.”
Ukraine and Russia have been fighting for over five months.
As of today, many casualties have already been recorded due to the war.
