‘You lied, charge my father to court, prove he’s a thief’ – El-Rufai’s son to ICPC

‎Mohammed Bello El-Rufai, House of Representatives member from Kaduna North and son of former governor Nasir El-Rufai, has told the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, to charge his father to court and prove that he’s a thief.

‎Bello issued the charge while insisting that ICPC lied in their report about phone-tapping devices recovered from El-Rufai’s residence in Abuja.

‎He was reacting to an ICPC report on items recovered from El-Rufai’s residence during a recent raid.

‎ICPC had claimed to have recovered a range of documents, electronic devices, and other items from El-Rufai’s residence during the raid.

‎Reacting on X, Bello wrote: “Let me correct it for you. ICPC confirmed that they lied after I denied their so called reports.

‎“They should charge Mallam to court and prove he is the thief they claim.

‎“No media campaign will succeed as long as I am around by the grace of God. I will counter it day and night. If they had lied again.

‎“I would have posted the pictures of everything they illegally took from Mallam’s house in the horrible handwriting of their own agent. Thanks.”
