Former Chelsea defender, William Gallas has said that it would be very difficult for his former club to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
Gallas also warned Chelsea co-owner, Todd Boehly that he would be blamed if the Blues fails to finish in the top Premier League.
Chelsea are currently in the eighth position on the Premier League table with 21 points from 14 games.
“I think getting into the top four will be very difficult for them, even if they went out and signed a forward. It will be very hard for Chelsea to finish in the top four,” Gallas told Genting Casino.
“If Chelsea don’t finish in the top four, Todd Boehly would have failed.
“There can be no excuses for a club like Chelsea finishing outside of the top four.
“We are always very quick to judge players on their performance and it should be the same for the owner.
“He arrived and spent a lot of money, but if he doesn’t qualify for the top four, he would have failed.”
