Wikki Coach explains importance of win over Zamfara United

Wikki Tourists head coach, Azeez Audu has described his team’s matchday nine victory over Zamfara United as a morale booster.

The Bauchi Elephants thrashed Zamfara United 4-0 at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium on Sunday.

Audu assured that his team will build on the performance ahead of their next game in the Nigeria National League, NNL.

John Taiwo, Nasiru Jubrin, Promise Damala and Owolabi Aremu scored for Wikki Tourists in the game.

“The victory is a morale booster for my team especially when you start the league on a sound footing and we are grateful to God for that,” he told the club’s media.

“The preparation ahead of the next game against ABS will be the same as always.

“We are going there to fight for points as that will give us confidence towards our target.”

Wikki Tourists maintained the top position on the Group C table following the win.
