We’re not sabotaging domestic refineries – NNPC

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has denied allegations that the company is sabotaging efforts by domestic refineries across the country.

The chief executive officer of NNPC, Mele Kyari said the company is committed to resolving Nigeria’s energy crisis.

He said with stability in the energy sector, there would be guaranteed sustainable growth and affordability of energy products.

Speaking at the 42nd Nigeria Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) Annual International Conference and Exhibition, Kyari said the NNPC Ltd is part-owners of the Dangote Refinery and cannot sabotage it.

“Resolving the energy trilemma requires bold ideas, shared knowledge, and collective determination. Together, let us build a Nigeria where energy is secure, sustainable, and affordable for all,” Kyari said.

He also assured that the NNPCL is committed to working with domestic refineries to ensure the affordability and availability of products.
