We’ll help him – Alexander-Arnold backs Mane’s replacement at Liverpool

England defender, Trent Alexander-Arnold, has said that Liverpool are trying to get the best of new signing Darwin Nunez.

The Liverpool defender said that the summer signing is desperately in search of his first goal for the Reds, adding that Nunez will get the backing of his new teammates.

“I’m sure we’ll be able to supply him with the ball to score goals,” he told LIverpool media.

“You can see he’s itching for that first goal, but I’m sure once it comes it will be like London buses. We’ll back him.”

Nunez joined Liverpool this summer as a replacement for Senegalese International, Sadio Mane, who departed Anfield for Bayern Munich.

Alexander-Arnold believes his new teammate possesses all the features of a top striker and “It’s just about finding that connection and soon enough it’ll all be good for us.”
