Weeks After Losing Senate Chief Whip Position, Ndume Meets Ganduje

The lawmaker representing Borno South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Ali Ndume, is currently meeting with the national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje.

The lawmaker’s meeting with Ganduje is taking place at the APC national secretariat in Abuja.

Ndume’s meeting with Ganduje comes barely three weeks after he was sacked as the chief whip of the 11th Senate by Godswill Akpabio for criticising President Bola Tinubu’s administration over the growing hardship in the country.

The senator’s sack was a sequel to a letter signed by Ganduje, APC National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Bashiru, and transmitted to the Senate Caucus of the party which was read by the Senate President Godswill Akpabio and adopted during plenary.

He was immediately replaced with Senator Tahir Monguno (Borno North) as Chief Whip following the party’s recommendation.
