We are striving to be the best in academic excellence – VC Kogi state University

The Vice Chancellor, of the newly established Kogi State, University, Kabba, Professor Kehinde Eniola, has said that he is working very hard with his management team to make the ivory tower the best in academic excellence in Nigeria and beyond.

The VC who declared this on Monday during the maiden matriculation press briefing at the University campus in Kabba, said no fewer than 1,200 students out of the 1700 approved by the National University Commission, ((NUC), will be matriculated in the maiden matriculation tomorrow (Saturday)

He said that the institution is determined from the beginning to raise students that would be nationally and globally recognize, in their various fields of study..

According to the VC, the management is working with some partners to provide an affordable accommodation for the students, assuring that their security on campus is of utmost concern to the University authority.

He commended Governor Yahaya Bello for putting every necessary requirements in place to ensure the smooth take off of the institution.

The VC added that 25 academic programmes has been approved by the National University Commission, (NUC), adding that the IJMB will Commence immediately to create apportunity for those who do no meet the entry requirements of the University.

He advised the students to take their studies, seriously as the University intends to be different in their approach to both academic and student discipline on campus.
