Wamakko attends funeral prayer of late Father of APC Guber candidate For 2019 Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto

The Senator representing Sokoto North senatorial district Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, was among hundreds of sympathizers who attended the funeral prayer of the late Alhaji Aliyu Sokoto, father APC 2019 Governorship candidate and now Executive Secretary, Nigeria Police Trust Fund, Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu who died on Friday, after protracted illness at the age of eighty years at an Abuja Hospital, .

Other important diginitiries that attended the funeral prayer were former Governor of the old Sokoto State, Malam Yahaya Abdulkarim,former Minister of Transport, Hon. Yusuf Sulaiman, and former Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Tanzania, Amb. Sahabi Isa Gada ,and that of Morocco Amb.Abubakar Shehu Wurno.

Also in attendance were a Federal Commissioner, National population commission, Alhaji Chiso Abdullahi Datijjo and that of Federal Character Commission, Alhaji Abdullahi Aminu Tafida, Galadiman Gari,Alhaji Aliyu Attahiru.

Others are former Speakers, Sokoto State House of Assembly, Alhaji Umar Shehu Goronyo and Lawali Labbo Margai, as well as serving and former members of the National and State Assemblies.

Others includes APC zonal Secretary, North West, Barrister Muhammad Bello Goronyo, Sokoto State APC Chairman, Alhaji Isa Sadiq Achida , Islamic scholars,members of the business community and politicians.

The funeral prayer was led by the Sarkin Malaman Sokoto, Malam Yahaya Na Malam Boyi.

In his reaction shortly after the funeral prayer, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko described late Alhaji Aliyu Sokoto as a pious, hard working officer and an elder stateman who served for the betterment of his fartherland diligently.

Wamakko prayed the Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and reward his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus.

Special Prayers for the reposed of the deceased person were led by Sarkin Malaman Sokoto Malam Yahaya Na Malam Boyi.
