VP Shettima Arrives New York For UNGA79

Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived New York, the United States of America to represent Nigeria at the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Shettima touched down at John F. Kennedy International Airport earlier today, Monday, September 23rd.

The VP was received on arrival by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf M. Tuggar; Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani; Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa; Nigerian diplomats, UN officials and many others.

“As directed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCON, Vice President Shettima is leading Nigeria’s delegation to this year’s UNGA, where he will deliver Nigeria’s national statement and participate in various high-level meetings,” a statement issued by the VP’s Senior Speciaaaaaaal Assistant Media and Communications, Stanley Nkwocha reads.

Politics Nigeria reports that VP Shettima had departed the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja for the New York on Sunday, September 22nd.
