Veteran Journalist, Adurodija assumes office as perm. sec. Kogi State ministry of information and Communications

The Newly appointed Permanent Secretary, Kogi State Ministry of information and Communications, Ebenezer Adurodija formerly assumed office on Friday. He succeeded Abdul Yakubu who was formerly at the helms of affairs of the ministry.

During the handover ceremony held at the State Secretariat Complex, Lokoja, Adurodija expressed profound gratitude to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for the appointment.

“I am deeply humbled by the trust reposed in me by His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, and the Head of Civil Service, Pastor Elijah Evinemi,” Adurodija said. “I assure the staff of better welfare and a conducive working environment under my administration.”

Mr Ebenezer Adurodija pledged to work tirelessly to bring positive developments to the ministry, leveraging the support of Governor Ododo and the Commissioner, Hon Kingsley Fanwo.

He emphasized collaboration, diligence, and zero tolerance for gossip and laziness.

Former Acting Permanent Secretary Abdul Yakubu charged the new Permanent Secretary to ensure seamless implementation of government laws and efficient resource management.

The Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kogi State Chapter Chairman, Alhaji Ademu Seidu, and Director Information Services, Mr. Sunday Adeniyi, commended Governor Ododo’s unbiased appointment process.

Kogi Information Chapel Chairman, Mallam Shuaibu Abubakar, described Adurodija’s appointment as a product of hard work and dedication.
