Valencia to terminate Cavani’s contract

Valencia is set to terminate Edinson Cavani’s contract.

The 36-year-old joined the La Liga club one year ago after his deal at Manchester United expired.

But Cavani has struggled to hit top form in Spain amid several injury issues.

The Uruguay striker finished last season with only five top-flight goals.

Despite having one year left on his contract, Valencia wants to get him off the wage bill this summer.

According to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, “Edinson Cavani will not travel for the pre-season tour with Valencia as he’s out of the project.

“Cavani is negotiating the termination of the contract, waiting for a new chapter.”
