US to restrict visas for Nigerians ‘responsible for violating religious freedom

The United States has announced new visa restrictions targeting Nigerians accused of undermining religious freedom.

The Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, disclosed this on X this evening December 3. He said the restrictions will affect those who “knowingly direct, authorize, fund, support, or carry out violations of religious freedom”.
