At least 11 people were killed in Russian missile attacks overnight in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region, not far from the Zaporizhzhya nuclear plant, according to the local military.
“A tragic night in the Nikopol area the Russian army killed 11 people and injured 13,’’ Valentyn Reznichenko, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk military administration, wrote on Telegram Wednesday.
Both of the affected areas are on the opposite bank of the Dnipro River to the Zaporizhzhya nuclear plant, which has been shelled several times in recent days.
Both Russia and Ukraine have been fighting for over five months.
As of today, several casualties have already been recorded.
Russian President Vladimir Putin had ordered the invasion of Ukraine because of political differences between both countries.
