U-20 AFCON: Flying Eagles thrash Zaura Boys 8-1 in test game

The Flying Eagles were at their imperious best again as they trounced AA Zaura Boys of Kano 8-1 in a test game on Thursday.

It was the Flying Eagles’ fourth friendly since they set up camp in Abuja last week Monday ahead of the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

Ladan Bosso’s side didn’t concede a goal in their first three outings.

They led 6-1 at half-time and could have scored more goals.

Striker Ayuba Francis fired a brace with Ojora Mustapha, captain Yahaya Ibrahim, Aminu Mohammed, Shettima Umar and Olayiwole Mathew also getting on the scoreboard.

Mahmoud Mohammed conceded an own goal for Zaura Boys’ only goal of the game.

The Flying Eagles are expected to engage in more tune-up games ahead of the U-20 AFCON.
