Top stars missing as Chelsea announce new squad numbers for 2022-23 season [Full list]

Two Chelsea stars were missing as the club announced new squad numbers ahead of the 2022-23 season.

Chelsea is preparing for the new season as they face Everton in their first match of the campaign next Saturday.

But the likes of Billy Gilmour and Kenedy may not be part of the Blues team this season as they were denied squad numbers.

That suggests that all two are likely to leave the club this summer.

The Evening Standard reports that Kenedy and Billy have all gone without numbers, while the likes of Armando Broja and Michy Batshuayi are included in the squad despite rumours of both leaving the club this summer.

Kenedy joined the Blues in 2015 but has only made 16 league appearances for the Stamford Bridge landlords. The Brazilian has spent time on loan at Watford, Newcastle, Getafe, Granada and Flamengo and looks likely to be on his way out again.

The Standard reported that the Brazilian could return to his home country.
