Top APC chieftain’s mother kidnapped in Kano 

Unknown gunmen have kidnapped the mother of an All Progressives Congress (APC) bigwig and Kano Central Senatorial candidate, A. A. Zaura.

Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa confirmed the incident.

He said the aged victim, Hajia Laure Mai Kunu was abducted in the early hours of Monday and taken to unknown destination.

He said a team of policemen were mobilized to arrest the criminals and rescue the victim.

Kiyawa appealed to the public to support the security agencies with any vital information that would lead to the arrest of the suspects.

Chairman of Ungogo Local Government , Engr. Abdullahi Garba Ramat also confirmed the incident to Newsmen.

He said Hajia Laure was kidnapped at her residence in Rangaza ward of Zaura village of Ungogo Local Government, Kano State.
