A Former Okene Local Government Chairman and a senior aide to the Governor Yahaya Bello of kogi Alhaji Yahaya Karaku has dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC), for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
Karaku officially dumped the APC and his former Boss during the presidential rally of PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja Kogi State.
Alhaji Karaku who is widely regarded as one of the most influential and powerful grassroots mobilizer in Kogi central district, declared his unalloyed support for the candidacy of Atiku Abubakar, Kogi Central senatorial candidate, Barr. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and other PDP candidates.
The former Okene LG chairman was received by the PDP National Chairman, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu and other PDP stakeholders.
Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan campaign Organization noted that the defection of Alhaji Yahaya Karaku, a close ally of Governor Yahaya Bello signals the acceptance of PDP and the candidacy of Barr. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in Kogi Central senatorial district.
The Campaign Council also stated that it will continue to reach out and preach the message of hope of PDP and Barr. Natasha’s vision to change the narratives to win more political leaders from APC before the general elections.
The campaign organization noted that the quest to recover Nigeria from hopelessness is a business of all lovers of growth and development.
A former house Representatives member, for Adavi/Okehi federal constituency, Abdurahman Badamasuiy has assured of overwhelming victory for the party in the state.
Badamasuiy who is also the Director General Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan campaign organization, also said the senatorial position of his Candidate is a done deal, saying that the people have since rejected the bad government of the ruling APC in the state.
He said the number of leaders and supporters of the ruling party who are defecting to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party on daily basis, showed that the ruling party has failed the people from the federal to the state.
He called on the people, particularly from the central senatorial district of Kogi state to be resolute, saying that their days of woes and sufferings was over.
