Presidential aspirants and elected officials across all political parties are currently being hosted to an Iftar dinner by the First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Muhammadu Buhari, at the Old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Among the presidential aspirants in attendance as of the time of filing this report are national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi (APC), and Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Other dignitaries who had arrived as of 6:20pm are Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige; Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio; one-time National Chairman of the PDP, Chief Barnabas Gemade; former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara; and oil and gas mogul, Tein Jack-Rich.
The First Lady had invited all presidential aspirants, across all political parties, to the Ramadan Iftar scheduled to commence by 6:30pm.
