Tinubu meets new service chiefs at Presidential Villa

President Bola Tinubu is currently meeting with the newly appointed service chiefs at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

News reports stated that Tinubu, on Friday, appointed new service chiefs, making sweeping changes in the military leadership.

The Presidency explained that the move was part of efforts to strengthen the national security architecture.

General Olufemi Oluyede, hitherto the Chief of Army Staff, replaced General Christopher Musa as the Chief of Defence Staff.

Major-General Waidi Shaibu was appointed as the new Chief of Army Staff.

Similarly, Air Vice Marshall S.K Aneke was named Chief of Air Staff while Rear Admiral I. Abbas was appointed as Chief of Naval Staff.
