Tinubu confers national honours on Kekere-Ekun, Akpabio and others

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has conferred national honours on the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJ), Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, and others.

The president announced this during his October 1 national broadcast.

According to him, Kekere-Ekun and Akpabio have been conferred with the honour of the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON).

Also, the deputy Senate President, Barau Jibirn and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas have the honour of Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR).

While deputy speaker of the House, Benjamin Kalu was awarded Commander of the Order of Niger (CON).

“As is the tradition, the government will soon announce all the beneficiaries of our national honours for 2024,” the president said.
