Chelsea’s new boy, Romeo Lavia, has given three reasons why he decided to sign for the Premier League side.
According to the 19-year-old, he was attracted by the project, the ambition and the history of the club.
“My feeling is that the project, the ambition and the history were key factors.
“These three factors were determining my decision to join Chelsea,” Lavia said.
Lavia was heavily linked with Chelsea’s rivals Arsenal and Liverpool during the summer.
But he has now put pen to paper on a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge, after the Blues agreed a deal worth an initial £53m plus £5m with Southampton.
