Thousand cows not worth single human life – Onjeh on insecurity

The All Progressives Congress, APC senatorial candidate for Benue South, Daniel Onjeh, has expressed anger over the reported attack on several communities in Benue State, asserting that a thousand cows are not worth the life of a single human.

Onjeh made the assertion on Wednesday at the Ojapo Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp, where he visited to commiserate with victims of Sunday, 12th June 2022 attack on Igama, Edumoga Ehaje Community of Okpokwu Local Government by suspected killer herdsmen.

Onjeh and his team were received by the leader of the IDP Camp, Daniel Abah, who led the team on a brief tour of the campsite.

The APC candidate who pitied the physical and social conditions at the Ojapo IDP Camp was moved to assist the displaced persons with food items and cash.

He called on government at all levels and good-spirited citizens to assist the IDPs with the delivery of medicals and other vital logistics to enhance their comfort at the camp while hoping that urgent actions would be taken to improve the security situation in the native homes of the victims.

The Benue South Senatorial hopeful also visited the Edumoga Ehaje Community where about 30 persons were recently massacred by suspected herdsmen.

Onjeh condemned the attack and called on relevant authorities to ensure that it leaves no stone unturned in fishing out the culprits of the attack and ensuring that they face the full wrath of the law.
