“Those who accepted spaghetti from Tinubu are suffering the most” – Damagum

Umar Damagum, the embattled acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has mocked Nigerians who voted for President Bola Tinubu in exchange for food items and clothing during the 2023 general election.

Damagum stated that those who participated in such trade-offs are now facing economic hardship under the current administration.

Speaking after a closed-door meeting with PDP stakeholders and the governor of Bauchi state, Bala Mohammed Damagum said, “Those who accepted spaghetti and wrappers to bring in this government are suffering the most, and this should serve as a lesson.”

He also questioned the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s readiness to govern, adding that no positive outcomes could be expected from an unprepared government.

Damagum criticized the ruling APC for the ongoing hardship many Nigerians are facing, attributing it to the policies of Tinubu’s administration.

He called for Nigerians to seek credible and proven leaders who are genuinely prepared to govern, rather than supporting candidates based on slogans like “Emilokan” (It’s my turn).
