“They Love Tinubu at Night, Come Out in the Day to Shout” – Wike Slams PDP Governors

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has made a shocking accusation against some governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), claiming they are playing a double game with President Bola Tinubu.

Speaking at the PDP’s Secretariat in Port Harcourt during the party’s state congress on Saturday, Wike alleged that these governors “love the president at night but say a different thing” during the day.

The former Rivers State governor also justified his decision to work against the PDP during the presidential election, citing the party’s disregard for justice, fairness, and equity.

Wike stated, “I didn’t hide it in 2023 when I said I wouldn’t support PDP for the presidential election. I said I won’t support PDP because it refused to allow equity, fairness, and justice. So, I have no regrets.”

He criticized the governors for their hypocrisy, saying, “When Buhari was there, you never saw me play two sides; I never went to the Villa at night only to come out in the day to shout.”

Wike challenged the governors to be men of character and stand by their convictions, rather than playing a double game.
