Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen enjoyed rave reviews in the Italian sporting press after his remarkable display in the Partenopei’s 6-1 demolition of Sassuolo on Wednesday night.
Osimhen netted a hat-trick and registered an assist in the game.
The popular La Gazzetta dello Sport, labelled the forward ‘solution’ to Napoli’s problems.
‘He is the solution to Napoli’s problems, but not only,’ wrote journalist Pierfrancesco Archetti.
‘He made errors sometimes but continued to create chances. He even played a long ball for Kvara, who then scored the 5-1.’
Corriere dello Sport stated that Osimhen was unstoppable in the game.
The Nigeria international was rated 8/10 by Gazzetta and Corriere dello Sport and 9 by Tuttosport.
The 25-year-old has now scored five goals in three games since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations.
